SUMMARY
Employed by the jeweler Mercandieu, Marcel meets two colorful characters at a sports event: Jo and Loulou. Marcel, though engaged to Renée, his boss’s daughter, falls for Loulou, without realizing that both are burglars. Loulou is looking for money to spring “her man” from prison and sees Marcel as the ideal fall guy. Overly naïve, Marcel virtually becomes an accessory in the burgling of the Mercandieu jewelry shop. But in the end, Jo and Loulou aren’t so bad. Feeling bad about taking advantage of Marcel’s gullibility, she tells him the truth. Marcel gives up the racy Loulou and marries the sweet Renée.
