SUMMARY
One Sunday, Mr. Dufour, the hardware dealer, his mother, his wife, his daughter Henriette and his assistant, Anatole, go picnicking in the country. The men go fishing, and two young people charm Henriette and her mother and take them out boating. There is a sudden clap of thunder; they must rush back home. A few years later, Henriette, now married to Anatole, returns to the country, where she meets her first love. |
