SUMMARY
F. Reichenbach followed Houston police officers over the course of one summer night. An officer explains the problems the police face in this town where Blacks, Whites and Mexicans are in conflict, and where the poverty of some leads to terrible violence. We witness several police interventions, then the slow process of induction of those arrested into the American penitentiary machine. The film ends with a big rodeo organized and led by the prisoners, most of whom are serving sentences of thirty to ninety years.
