SUMMARY
A class of French schoolchildren ask their American correspondents: What is the Far West? With their teacher’s help, the young Afro-American schoolchildren, thinking to put an end to the clichés, talk about their daily lives and describe their region. The director illustrates their words, but also underlines the PC discourse as it has been inculcated into these young Americans. The school bus that comes for them outside the ghetto, the rehearsals of a Far West dance in traditional dress succeed the pioneer meetings and images of wealthy residential suburbs.
