SUMMARY
Francois Reichenbach takes the legendary Route 66 from Texas to California as he relates the Indian legend of the “Great Serpent.” This ancestor of Indians supplanted by the “white man”, who had confiscated this territory to build roads and drill for oil in the desert. A metaphor for the damage caused the Indians by “white” civilization, this film nonetheless shows us the natural beauty of this part of America: geysers, canyons, fir forests and mountains as far as the eye can see, magnified by the music of Michel Legrand. |
