SUMMARY
In the very heart of Paris, today the Palais Royal is highly appreciated as a place to go for a walk. It is also a place steeped in history. Wandering through its galleries, corridors and gardens, we revisit this monumental edifice, recalling the major events that took place here. A historical but also landmark, since, among the many celebrities lived there, included Jean Cocteau and Colette. Numerous old engravings are used to illustrate the development of the site over the centuries, and thus something of the history of Paris. |
