SUMMARY
Marlène and Bernard, newlyweds, moved into a large suburban housing complex to escape the hustle and bustle of Paris. But life in public housing in Aubergenville, due in particular to the insoluble problem of transportation, is not the ideal solution for this friendly young couple: Marlène has to get up at 5 a.m., when all the alarm clocks in the complex are ringing, to catch her bus, train, and then subway. For Bernard, who is stuck in traffic jams, life is hardly any more enjoyable. |
