SUMMARY
Jacques, 18, goes out one night to escape a boring family evening at home. Suddenly a man, pursued by the police, appears and hastily hands him a pouch full of money... Later, in a bar, he meets Mimi, a prostitute, with whom he falls in love. When paying his bill Jacques unintentionally reveals his newfound wealth, and later, when he’s with Mimi in her room, the bar owner bursts in to steal the money. Mimi tries to intervene, but her pimp violently shoves her aside. When she falls, unconscious, the boss thinks she is dead, calls the police, and accuses Jacques...
