A journey through the Châteaux of the Loire, tracing their architectural history and evolution through the ages, and through the demands of war or desires of their owners. It covers the dates of major events in French history, to which these buildings bear witness. Each château is associated with a personality who left his mark on it: Talcy and Ronsard, Amboise and Charles VIII, Blois and Villon, Chambord and François 1er. This historical account is intercut with commentaries by gardeners and the Reading of extracts from famous poems by Pierre de Ronsard, Charles d’Orléans, François Villon and Clément Marot.
