SUMMARY
To rejoin Rolande, her friend who was released before her, Anne decides to escape from the prison where she is incarcerated. But as she jumps over the wall, she breaks her talus, a small bone in her foot. Julien, also an ex-convict, takes her in on the side of the road and finds her refuge with his mother, then with a friend in Paris. While Julien continues his illicit activities, Anne, on the run in Paris, endures the vicissitudes of a precarious life under the constant threat of another arrest. And then there's Julien's absence, which Anne finds hard to bear. |
